How are we responding?
We are closely following diocesan advice which in turn is based on the latest national advice. The over-riding priority is to keep everyone as safe as possible.
In light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice. The latest diocesan advice is available on their website including information regarding funerals, banns, weddings and baptisms .
David (our Vicar) invites everyone to pause and pray at 9.00 or 10.30 on Sunday mornings, he will be in Kingston church at 9.00 and Fyfield/Tubney church at 10.30, praying, as a representative of our church community.
In addition, he encourages as many as possible to listen to the 'Bible in one Year' passages and commentary each Sunday so we all have some teaching in common, perhaps learning a verse a week together. These can be accessed from the 'Bible in one year' website.
The cathedral and some of the big Oxford and other churches will be live-streaming services so people can turn to those. Details of these can be found on 'A church near you.com'
Sadly we have had to suspend all church activities and events, including:
Home Groups, although we hope to set up alternative methods for members to keep in touch.

There will clearly be a need for extensive support for both church members and the wider community. We are exploring with the Parish council and KBS news how we can work together to meet this need and we will communicate the outcome of these discussions as soon as possible.
Within the church we will be setting up mutual support groups to help us identify and respond to needs as they arise.
