Reverse Advent Calendar
: During November, please put an item a day into a box to be donated to the Food Bank. At the start of December our donations will be added to our usual gifts collected at the back of the Church and taken to the local Food Bank for distribution, to help provide for those who struggle over the festive season. Please add your donations into the usual Food Box at the back of the Church. Any problems speak to Anne or Corrinna.
Fiddle Group Concert:
Saturday 16 November, Village Hall. Doors open 7 for 7.30 pm start. Concert in aid of Malawi Health Project. Bar, Filled Rolls, Raffle. Tickets £8 each from Hazel or Peter.

PDP: Our supportive new Personal Discipleship Plan initiative links you up with David or Anne for two or three chats over a few months - about your spiritual journey, your gifting and encourages you to develop in your inner spiritual life in Christ Jesus. The Diocese of Oxford is developing this initiative across the Diocese, there is a useful website here which will give more general information.
CHURCH GROUPS: We have a range of groups for adults and children. Being a member of a weekly housegroup can be a rewarding way to deepen your faith and get to know some people better. Call David or Hazel for more information.

Food Bank Box
is at the back of the church - please bring donations of tinned food, pasta and dried food to church with you. Our donations go to the Abingdon Food Bank.

Technical Team needs helpers
Please speak to Anne if you would like to learn how to:
- help set up and take down the projectors and run the service PowerPoints, and / or
- help run the Music Box, a digital hymnal which is set up before the service - no musical ability required! Training can be given and it's fun to be involved.
Open the Book Seeks more Volunteers
A team from the congregation visits John Blandy School once every half term to read and act-out a Bible story at a morning assembly. We try and involve a small number of children each time and have great fun dressing up. The whole assembly takes about an hour (20 mins preparation, 20 mins to tell the story and 20 mins to clear away) and we have two very short rehearsals the week before. You don’t need to be an Oscar-winning actor to take part and most roles are non-speaking. We really need to expand the team and would love some of you to join us. If you would like to know a little more please speak to Margo, Hazel or Peter.
