Fete - 2024
Appointment of New Vicar - 17 May 2024
We have appointed a new vicar ... strictly speaking, a priest-in-charge who will be working 3 days a week plus Sunday services.
The Dorchester Associate Archdeacon, Jane Haslam, writes:
Subject to legalities we are delighted to announce that
Catherine Schneider has been appointed as priest-in-charge ministering in Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor. Information about a licensing date will follow.
Catherine has written a little about herself:
Hi I'm Catherine, married to Stephen and mother to three young adult children - Jonathan, Amy and Helen. I live in Kennington but I serve as a curate in the Dorchester Team, mainly at Dorchester Abbey. I'm really looking forward to joining you in KBS, to getting to know you, and to exploring how we can continue to be a Lighthouse together for our village.
Needless to say, we are all very excited by this news and look forward to Catherine joining us, hopefully sometime in the summer.

Sep 2022
Sadly, David Pickering, our vicar left us on 4 Sep 2022. Following his departure, we will have an interregnum, allowing a period of reflection and a chance to seek God's will for our parish, as we consider the appointment of a new vicar.
Take a look at our Facebook page.
